This Privacy Policy describes how the ASAP Towing mobile app ("the App") collects, uses, and shares information. The App is provided by ASAP Towing ("we," "us," "our") for customers in the Jacksonville, FL area to request tows, view auction schedules, and reach our dispatch team.

When you submit a Tow Request through the App, we collect:
This information is sent to our dispatch systems so we can send a driver to you. See "How We Share Information" below.
If our servers can't be reached at the moment you submit a request, the App saves a copy of that request on your device only until it can be sent — it is not transmitted anywhere until then.
If you use the Admin area of the App (staff only), your login username and password are sent to our backend to authenticate you. This area is not used by general customers.
If you tap "Use my location" on the Tow Request form, the App asks your device for your current GPS location (only while the App is in use — we do not collect location in the background). We use this to automatically fill in your pickup address. Your approximate coordinates may also be shared with our dispatch team (by SMS or through our backend) so a driver can find you.
You can decline location access; the App will still work, and you can type your address manually.
If you enter a VIN to auto-fill your vehicle's year, make, and model, that VIN is sent to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) public vPIC API to decode it. This is a free U.S. government service; no other personal information is sent with this request, and a VIN alone does not identify you personally. The same public API is used to power the make/model autocomplete suggestions as you type.
If you allow notifications, the App registers a push token (a random identifier tied to your device, not to your name) with our backend, along with whether you're on iOS or Android. We use this to send you alerts (for example, auction announcements). Push delivery itself is handled by Apple's Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android), by way of Expo's push notification service — none of these services receive your tow request or contact information, only the push token needed to deliver a notification to your device.
We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not use analytics or tracking services in the App. We do not sell your information.

Tow requests, contact information, and registered push tokens are retained on our backend systems for as long as needed to operate the service and are not kept longer than necessary for that purpose. If you'd like a request or push token deleted, contact us at the email above.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide, including transmitting data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
